Our TOP 5 Gardens

Updated: Apr 27, 2021

As an avid gardener myself, I really enjoy visiting large scale well done gardens. Whether they be public or private, there is something about a garden that has been meticulously designed, patiently sown, and lovingly maintained. Suffice it to say that I’ve been in some pretty spectacular gardens around the world; and the following 5 gardens are a bit of a mash-up when it comes to scale and location, however one thing unites them all: they are all stunning examples of gardens as a legacy in the United States. My own non-profit; The Garden Foundation endeavors to plant botanical gardens worldwide as a legacy of sustainability for generations to come. These places below have a brilliant headstart. Without further ado here are the Maze Apothecary Top 5 Garden Picks (US):

1. Central Park Rose Garden- Schenectady NY

2. Fort Tryon Park- Manhattan NY

3. Gibbs Gardens – Ball Ground, GA

4. Atlanta Botanical Gardens – Atlanta GA

5. The Biltmore – Asheville NC

I could not permit myself to close this post without mentioning the South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson University (featured photo) (https://www.clemson.edu/public/scbg/). I had the pleasure of visiting myself earlier this year and was absolutely delighted with the scope of work and brilliance of design of this Garden. I even purchased goodies at the gift shop and rounded up to support their work. If you have the opportunity, please visit each garden on this brief list. Each of these places is magickal in it’s own way. I hope you enjoy the beauty of nature as much as I do.
